Sumario:The article focuses on the influence of self-experiences and intersubjective experiences in addressing social class differences between patients and analysts in therapeutic dyad. It uses literature review to determine the longstanding gap of social context for psychoanalytic endeavors. It suggests that shame and envy contribute to impasses and compromise treatment on both patient and analysts. It further applies self-disclosure to promote genuine dialogue on disparities.
