| Sumario: | Since the enactment of Public Law 94-142 in November, 1975, mainstreaming children with varying disabling characteristics has become a national priority in public school systems. While consultative service and technical assistance were being provided to a school system in Southeast Georgia as continuous progress programs are implemented systemwide, with an equal emphasis on mainstreaming, significant progress has been made at a pilot school. Long range goals for staff development and the general objectives for a continuous progress model and its mainstreaming program are stated. Extended research designs are also predicted.
