| Sumario: | The author presents a descriptive analysis of the hybrid English Alive program that she pioneered from 2005 to 2008, which was developed on the sound structure of process-oriented composition with critical reading and writing. Its emphasis on the importance of audience analysis and research of primary and secondary sources is addressed. Ways in which the program increased students' need to write extensively and their application of composition skills to modern communication modes are cited. |
