| Sumario: | There are few positive youth development programs in mainland China. With the success of the Project P.A.T.H.S. in Hong Kong, we developed the Tin Ka Ping P.A.T.H.S. program based on the curriculum materials developed in Hong Kong. The Tin Ka Ping P.A.T.H.S. project has been implemented in China for roughly a decade with very positive outcomes. Because of the growing mental health problems in young people in mainland China, we launched the Tin Ka Ping P.A.T.H.S. program in different parts of China after the pandemic in 2023-24 academic year, with the primary step of training teachers. In April 2024, we conducted an online training program for teachers and we received evaluation information from 157 teachers. Quantitative results showed that the training program enhanced the mental health knowledge, attitude and skills of the participants. The teachers also shared that the training enhanced their personal and professional competencies through narratives. The findings reinforce the argument that teaching training is a core component in the success in implementing PYD programs.
