Sumario:The article discusses the arguments of several superintendents of schools against homogeneous grouping. According to several superintendents, this argument is not valid because, when pupils will put in the lower-ability groups, it develops a sense of failure and inferiority. Homogeneous grouping is undemocratic and creates distinctions in the mind of pupils. It also offers no advantage to a school with an activity program and a correlated curriculum.
