| Sumario: | A study investigated the personal writing backgrounds and writing strategies of international students. Data were obtained from a survey of 30 recent graduates of the English as a Second Language Program at Weber State University. Four aspects were explored: writing backgrounds, personal writing strategies, use of resources, and getting help from other people. Findings revealed large variations in international students' and other second-language writers' writing backgrounds and attitudes, including number of years of English and writing-focused study. Findings and implications are discussed. |
